Unforgettable Moments: A Recap of the Spectacular Folklore & Tango Event

We are so excited to share the success of our Folklore and Tango event hosted in Charlotte, NC on June 10th, 2023 where we celebrated Argentina's national holidays, 25 de Mayo and 9 de Julio.

We had the honor of hosting an unforgettable day filled with performances, Argentine cuisine and wine, local vendors, raffles, prizes and a profound appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Argentina. Join us as we express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended, as well as extend our heartfelt thanks to the talented performers, dedicated vendors, and our volunteers who made this event truly extraordinary.

A Day of Cultural Pride and Festivity:

Our goal was to create an immersive experience to honor two important holidays in Argentina's history, 25 de Mayo, also known as May Revolution Day, and our Independence Day 9 de Julio and to also showcase the beauty of Argentina's folklore and tango.

Opening Ceremony:

The event kicked off with the flag ceremony, and a heartfelt performance of our national anthem performed by Vannessa Allen.

Talented Performers from Argentina:

We were privileged to welcome the talented artist; Paola Ruiz Diaz who performed songs from her album "Silencio de Amor." Paola Ruiz Diaz sang traditional Argentine folklore songs and danced Folklore Argentino with Juan Cativa.

We were also honored to have a Tango and Milonga dance performed by Kasia y Daniel Arredondo, founder of 'Passion for Tango', the first authentic Argentinian Tango school in Charlotte, NC. Each performance was a testament to the rich artistic heritage of Argentina.

Savoring Authentic Argentine Cuisine and Wines:

In keeping with the spirit of the event, attendees had the opportunity to indulge in a delectable array of authentic Argentine cuisine. From traditional empanadas to alfajores, and Argentine wines.

Expressing Gratitude to Our Vendors:

The success of our event would not have been possible without the dedicated support of our vendors. We extend our sincerest thanks to these vendors for their invaluable contributions.

Thank you to Regional Argentina, Fernando & Brothers Moving, Compare Foods, and City Bound Limo!

Expressing Gratitude to Our Volunteers:

Casa Argentina would not be the same without the help of our volunteers! We want to give them a heartfelt thank you for their hard work, dedication, and their selfless contributions.

Thank You to All Attendees:

We are profoundly grateful to each and every person who attended the Folklore & Tango Show. Your presence and enthusiasm brought a sense of shared joy and celebration to the event. It was a pleasure to witness the audience immerse themselves in the vibrant performances, savor the flavors of Argentina, and embrace the cultural exchange with open hearts and minds. Your support and participation have encouraged us to continue our mission of sharing our traditions and heritage with our community.

In Summary:

As we look back on the Folklore & Tango Show, celebrating Argentina's national holidays and its rich cultural heritage, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the talented performers, dedicated vendors, and enthusiastic attendees who made this event an incredible success.
